RAEv2 is CC BY-NC 4.0, which cannot be relicensed under PEAL’s LGPL-3.0. The modified fork the RAE generators need therefore lives in its own non-commercial distribution, peal-xai-rae (packages/peal-xai-rae in the repository, pip install “peal-xai[rae]”), and never in the peal-xai wheel. Upstream RAEv2 alone cannot load the published weights: it lacks the fork’s clipproj-vit-L encoder (see packages/peal-xai-rae/peal_rae/RAEv2/MODIFICATIONS.md).
