class peal.data.custom_datasets.WaterbirdsDataset[source]

Bases: Image2MixedDataset

Waterbirds: the bird species is confounded by the background scene.

If <dataset_path>/data.csv is missing, the CUB segmentation masks and the waterbird_complete95_forest2water2 release are downloaded into downloads/, extracted and moved into place as imgs_filename/, masks/ and data.csv (the release’s metadata.csv, which carries the y and place columns). Already extracted folders are detected and the download is skipped.

Parameters:

  • config (DataConfig) – Uses dataset_path; the rest is handled by Image2MixedDataset.

  • **kwargs – Forwarded to Image2MixedDataset.

Raises:

Exception – If one of the two downloads returns a non-200 status code.
